None of the things I have mentioned above have worked for me and I am hoping that someone may be able to assist me in the procedure to get this brand new SD card formatted properly again so that I can use it when my Pi arrives.

I guess this may be a silly question but was I meant to install anything else besides the RetroPieImage_ver1.9.1 image file which may have caused this issue? I have tried the SD Formatter again, tried using Windows Disk Management and also tried using DISKPART instructions I have found both here on this forum, on other pages found Googling the problem and on YouTube. I noted that in the SD Formatter software that it was showing the size of the drive as 57.7mb (I think) and the drive was also listed in Windows 7 My Computer as having not even near the 16GB it is meant to? For this reason I decided for practice I guess, and for the correct instructions to install the image onto a properly formatted SD card:ģ) Ensured that I was selecting the SD card as the drive The image I installed was RetroPieImage_ver1.9.1 as I want a multi console emulator and it said the image installation was successful.Īfter doing this I read that one should ensure proper formatting of the SD card by using SD Formatter 4.0.
